On behalf of myself, my husband and our 4 year old daughter, we would like to extend a huge heartfelt thank you to Dave at the Atim Creek Pet Crematory for graciously accommodating our dear Ceasar Boy on such short notice and especially taking the time to talk with our daughter and giving her a special angel. This was the perfect setting to say our farewells. Upon picking up Ceasar Boy’s urn, we were greeted with such kind, reassuring words to help put our minds at ease and our beloved friend to rest. We couldn’t have asked for a better place.
Sincerely, The Williams Family
Hello Dave just wanted to let you know we have another wonderful adorable puppy! Her name is Shelby and she is another Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She is related to our beloved Parker! Thanks again for your wonderful and kind assistance. We often think of her when we head out west along the Yellowhead and envision her running through your fields.
All the best
Mike and Susan
I know one thing for sure. Shelby has a good home.
Dave,
I cannot begin to thank you enough for offering this much needed service for our beloved horses. In the past the only option open to me was the back of a rendering truck , so it was not only devastating to me to have to deal with the lose of one of my horses but to have to see them leave the farm in such a horrible way was absolute torchure for me. From the moment you drove to the barn I was feeling much more at ease. After spending a long time talking with you, sharing stories, getting hugs and feeling the compassion that you have for our animal family and myself I was at peace to finally let my “Ellie” go. You are a god send to our equine industry and I have been passing your name on to everyone I talk to who have horses. I also have dogs and cats who sadly with have to leave me one day and they will be making the trip to your place, no questions about it.
The house is much more peaceful now that Ellie is back home and now that I have time to think clearly I will make the right decision about where her final resting place will be.
Thank you again Dave. Your beautiful, loving, spirit shines brightly through and you are truely a wonderful human being.
We had our beloved dog Maya cremated the beginning of December and if it wasn’t for the pleasant experience that we had with Dave it would have been much harder than it was. The death of Maya was a total shock for us and very hard to understand. She had been our faithful companion for 8 years and a big part of our family. She will be greatly missed and we are so grateful for the way her cremation was handled. She has a very special spot in our home. Thanks to Atim Creek Pet crematorium for having this service available. We highly recommend them.

I dont have a bad thing to say about Dave and his company, he doesnt lie when he says he is the cheapest and I made many calls and I was being told these outragouse prices and along with these outrageous prices came very little compassion. But, Dave from the moment I called him, knew I loved my pet and showed the utmost respect and compassion for me and my dog even though I was balling like a little baby. To top off the great service,respect/compassion, he allowed me to stay and watch the whole process. Through out the process he took the time to get to know me and make me feel better about this sad time. Dave my friend, I thank you for your kindness, respect and compassion. You have found your calling, even though its a sad job, you make it better in every way possible. If you want the best cremation for your loved pet this is the guy to call.
p.s
Dave my daughter loves the urn and the poem you gave us, thanks again. Dave, I hope to see you again but next time on better terms.
We want to thank you, Dave, for your compassion and support when we had to make the very difficult decision to send our beloved Ben to doggy heaven. You were able to take care of him and we had him home with us in just a day. We had not planned in advance as it was all so sudden but you were able to provide us with the much needed support we required. You made the process comforting and healing and we can’t thank you enough. When the time comes for Ben’s sister Keisha to join him we will certainly know who to call. We just hope we have more time. Thank you for providing this service for all of us pet owners- they are our family and that is just the way you treated us. Thank you again…
I want to thank you for the kind and caring service you provided me when I lost my good boy Bob. The loss of a beloved pet is such a sorrowful and overwhelming time, but I was reassured by your compassion and your ability to understand my pain. You get that they aren’t just pets to us, but cherished family members. I know that Bob was treated with the same dignity and respect with which you treated me.
One of Bob’s favourite things to do on a sunny summer day was to lie on the deck amongst my flowers. He always looked so happy and relaxed there. In summertime, that’s where I’ll keep Bob’s rock urn so he can continue to enjoy the sunshine and flowers. (The urn with its engraved plaque is beautiful, by the way!)
I know that I’ll need your services in the future because I’m an animal lover with several more furry friends. I will not entrust them to anyone else, and I will sing the praises of Atim Creek Pet Crematory to anyone I know that might require a service such as this.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!
I would like to thank you Dave for providing excellent service during such a difficult time. The rock we had you put Bear in was beautiful. The jewellry pieces my children both wear this way they always have a piece of Bear with them. The products are worth the money and I didn’t walk away feeling likeI just got taken to the cleaners. I preplanned as our dog was old nd unhealthy but people who must rely on the vets, I just want you to know you can prearrange with crematorium first and I highly recommend using Atim Creek Crematorium. Thank you again Dave.

Yes, we arrived at ATIM CREEK PET CREMATORY yesterday afternoon. Bailey was there to greet us. Silly dog.
Dave is very caring, and shows great professionalism in his business, with a huge amount of caring. From the time we arrived there, I felt at peace. I instantly knew everything was going to be ok. Yes, I cried so much over Shad, (my Border Collie), from the time she passed till I arrived there. I saw the place where the cremation would happen and it didn’t bother me.
Dave helped me do her paw print so I could have a tattoo later if I choose, as well as take pictures of her paw. He helped me pick out what |I wanted for her and never pressured me into spending anything I wasn’t prepared for. He is very affordable-if that is a concern. I know it’s not that we wouldn’t spend or do whatever it takes for our friends, but his main concern is what he can do for you and your friend.
Even though it was Thanksgiving Day, you made your service available. Totally unbelievable everything you did for Shad. She will always be with me now.
Last night after we got home and her ROCK URN was on the table, Will said to me, “you need to put that some place where it doesn’t get broken.” My reply was, “yes your right. I should put it on your pillow, since she loved the pillows, (my pillow pup), and then she can always rest and be safe by me.” She is resting by my bed now.
And no words can explain how compassionate you are and what a comforting experience I had.
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING
Just to let you know, I have a new friend. We have had her for a few weeks now.
My niece called and said this person had a BORDER COLLIE, and if she didn’t find a home for her, she was going to the SPCA. Damn family. So, after seeing pictures of dog and talking to the owner, off to Medicine Hat we went to look at the dog. Heck who was I kidding. There was no looking, I knew I was going to bring her home. She had an ok home, but I wasn’t impressed. So yes, SKYE, now lives with us. She is almost 8 months and a very frisky young pup. She loves to wrestle, play tug of war and bring back the rope when you throw it. Shaking a paw is also something she thinks is a reward after retrieving her rope. She is a lot of fun, and a new friend for our family. Thank you again for your kindness.
Glad to hear that you have another dog. I hope she lives for many years, and gives you complete enjoyment.
I’ve cremated 2 pets in the past at 2 other pet crematory places and they do not even come close to my experience with Dave at Atim Creek. Dave you have truely found your calling and I could never have hoped to have found someone better then you in taking care of my baby Thumper. You were a Godsend to me and a very compassionate man. I was unsure of when I would be able to get Thumper out to you and you went out of your way and came to Edmonton to pick her up with no charge. This meant more to me then you can imagine. I had her remains back the same day in the most beautiful wooden box urn. Everything was just perfect and felt perfect despite my horrible situation. I could tell that you put your heart into this and truely do care for your customers. Your pricing was great and affordable for me as I wasn’t prepared financially for this to happen. My best little friend is gone but I feel her here with me in spirit and will always have her with me thanks to you. I can’t express how much comfort you have given me. I encourage you to put up an ad in the yellow pages as soon as you can as that was the first place I had begun my search. No one has called me back from those places, even two days later. I found you on the internet and thank God I did. You were available for me immediately. Now I can go forth with my grieving knowing that I have my baby’s remains here with me. I honestly have so much to say but the words cant even come close to how greatful I am for you and your work. I wish you great success and when the time comes for our black lab (hopefully not a very very long time) we will definately come back to see you. Thank you again so so much and God bless you!!!
For anyone who has found themselves on this web page you are obviously here for a reason. The loss of our first pet was a time that we will never forget and has left a big hole in our lives. I can tell you first hand that Dave is truly someone that “gets it” . He treated us and our dog Moby with the utmost compassion and respect. His service was first class and we are grateful that we made the decision to make the trip out to Atim Creek.
From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you.
Mike, Barb & Moby Peebles
Dave, here is the story that I was telling you about:
“Just a Dog”
Permission by Ron Harris
From time to time, people tell me, “lighten up, it’s just a dog,” or, “that’s a lot of money for just a dog.” They don’t understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for “just a dog.”
Some of my proudest moments have come about with “just a dog.” Many hours have passed and my only company was “just a dog,” but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by “just a dog,” and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of “just a dog” gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it’s “just a dog,” then you will probably understand phrases like “just a friend,” “just a sunrise,” or “just a promise.” “Just a dog” brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. “Just a dog” brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.
Because of “just a dog” I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future. So for me and folks like me, it’s not “just a dog” but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.
“Just a dog” brings out what’s good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that it’s not “just a dog” but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being “just a human.”
So the next time you hear the phrase “just a dog.” just smile, because they “just don’t understand.”
Dear Dave, Shaun..
No one wants to think about their pet passing, whether unexpected or expected.. You both went above and beyond the call of duty, Dave replying while on vacation and getting in touch with Shaun….. Shaun, offering to pick up my pup no matter what the hour….And being available all weekend long..Thank you so much for your compassion, understanding, and making this a personal experience. And thank you for taking care of my boy, and having him back to me in such a short period of time. You made the entire process as painless as possible..You treated me with concern and made me feel like a genuine friend, not a merely a client… I will refer you to all my fellow pet owners, HIGHLY…. Thank you for taking care of my Argos…
Extra pets to Bailey…
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Dave,
Thank-you for the personal and professional service you provided my husband and I with our loss of Oscar. We will not hesitate to recommend you to family and friends that sadly may require such service.
~ Jessica
Dear Dave:
I must thankyou for being there for me in my time of sorrow, even on a Sunday. I wish you all the success as you provide an important service to any animal owner.
I will try and inform my friends and associates of your service; all the best in your business endeavour.
Thanks again, you were definitely there for me when I needed it!
Sincerely, Glenn Gray
We want to thank you for making the process of cremation so painless for us. We know that you have recently started your business and that it is not that busy right now. We want to let you know that we will certainly refer you to anyone needing such a service. We believe that such a service is very much needed in this area, especially for small acreage owners like ourselves who have a small hobby farm raising goats. We are not aware of any other pet crematory service that will take goats or horses. Thank you again for your support, may your business continue to grow.
Thank you for your support and kind wishes. I will do everything I can to be here for you and all others needing my services.
thank you for you’re great service for Sammy,an we found the surgical pin in the ashes it was just very small. best of wishes Simone and Dirk
